Horizon Report Response

The Horizon report response talks about the use of technology for educational purposes in today's society. The people in younger generations are very much a technological based generation. The thought that technology could help students better learn by using things such as internet based learning, apps, and tablets has been widely tested over time and proven to have a positive affect on students learning. As future generations become very involved with all technology at a young age, the use of these items to help intrigued the minds of children and better their learning has become more accepted by educational systems. In the response, the section talks about how online learning and hybrid learning are becoming systems of education used by more and more schools. Teachers use a more challenged based and active learning system by having children use technology that they are accustomed to in their everyday lives such as tablets and smartphones. By using these types of instruments the kids feel more in control of how they learn information. Although some educators and educational systems seem to be more comfortable with the more traditional was of teaching, many others feel this move towards technology based learning will feel the benefits out way the costs greatly. I feel that this is a good concept for learning facilities because as younger generations become more involved with technology from today's society, it only makes sense to conform to the students understanding of technology and use this to the advantage of educators and educational systems.
